Picking up this relic will give the player a Necronomicurse, an unplayable Card that cannot be removed from your deck by any means and cannot be truly Exhausted. Defeating an elite will grant you a random relic, 25-35 gold, a card reward and add a score bonus. Elites are stronger monsters that are marked separately from normal ones on the map. Ascension is a game mode that adds new challenge modifiers to runs for added difficulty.
